Emma’s passion as a physiotherapist is working with people of all ages and abilities to get them back to the activities that are important to them. For one individual it may be training for a triathlon, for another it may be being able to bend over to pick up their children or work in the garden. It was out of this passion to help people live more fulfilled lives, that Fit for Life Physio was born.

Our purpose is to use physiotherapy to empower patients to become more Fit for living their best Life.

We believe in using a holistic patient-centred approach to healthcare, to develop, maintain, restore, and optimise health and function throughout the lifespan via physiotherapy.

Before starting Fit for Life Physio, Emma gained extensive experience working in private practices both in Auckland and Christchurch, as a Physiotherapist and Pilates instructor. She has completed post-graduate certification for Dry Needling, Pelvic Health, pre and post-natal coaching, and has done additional training in Clinical Pilates, vestibular and Concussion Management.

It is our goal that every patient who comes in, leaves with a better understanding of how their body works and knowledge of things they can do at home to help themselves.

Outside of work, you will find Emma enjoying the beautiful local nature on a bike, scrambling up a cliff or pounding the local pavement and trails. When not staying active or continuing learning, she loves baking, cuddles with their two cats, and reading with a good cup of tea.

Victor is the financial and technology wizard behind Fit for Life Physio, although he is not a physiotherapist he was wise enough to marry one. With a background in electrical engineering, quality management, and a general interest in all things technology, Victor handles the software, website, accounting and business side of Fit for Life Physio.

You may also come across one or both of our “fur babies” in our home clinic, if you have allergies let us know and we will ensure they stay away. Winky is our curious, very friendly cat who will be purring with a single pat. Blinky is unapologetically affectionate once she warms up to you!
